Marijuana

Alright, alright, I know this a somewhat touchy subject, but it has to be discussed sometime. I was watching a documentary the other day about the so called "war" on drugs. Apparently, if we legalize and tax cannabis, we would get an average 10,000,000,000$ extra into our country's budget. Also, adding on extra charges from not having to chase down "potheads", the police force would have an extra 3,000,000,000$ in their budget. Marijuana has no known long lasting effects, decreases blood pressure, helps with pain, and helps with anorexia. I mean come on, couple of anorexic people would probably get the "munchies", and it would help them. The documentary also stated that we get around 25,000,000,000$ from taxation of tobacco products. But they also reported the charges that is stressed onto our healthcare from the harmful effects of tobacco, which is around 250,000,000,000$ each year. Honestly, we need to stop this phony "war" on the cannabis plant.
And now I leave you with this really sick rasta pipe.

Movies

My computer-animated anticipated movies for 2011-1012:
Kung Fu Panda 2

Our lovable panda Po is back in action for the sequel. Confirmed Jack Black will be returning in the new action adventure. Po is now a kung-fu master and has to protect the valley of peace along with Master Shifu, The Furious Five against the new evil the Emperor Peacock "Lord Shen".
Puss in Boots

Antonia Banderas finally gets his own prequel to the hit series "Shrek". It is confirmed that Puss will be the only returning character. Most people agree, while that Shrek 1 and 2 were great classics, the series should have stopped. But this film has been in production since 2004 during the release of Shrek 2, so lets see what they have and it is still a good fun for the kids.
Monsters Inc. 2

I do not know about you guys, but I have been waiting a good 10 years for this movie to come out. There is no plot confirmation as of yet, it is being released in 2012 to avoid competition with "The Twilight Saga", and I hope I'm not the only one disappointed in the release date.
Ice Age: Continental Drift

I know, I know, this is the FOURTH Ice Age movie, and they really aren't doing so good after the second in my opinion, but the plot seems more interesting then the last. The good ol' gang of Sid, Manny, Diego, and Scrat get separated from the herd from tectonic movement of the earth's crust. Now they must journey across the oceans to find the herd again. Although it is impossible for the continents to move that quickly to the point where they will be separated by entire oceans in a matter of days, or even week. Although, I am interested in the fact of the sea-faring adventures, and as I stated before, I thought everything went downhill from the second movie but with the original gang back, I feel there might be a comeback.
 Cars 2

I enjoyed the acting skills of Owen Wilson and Larry the Cable Guy. I also loved the plot and story of Cars, and I am more than willing to see where this movie goes. Apparently they are competing in the World Grand Prix, as they travel overseas to new places, as  Mater gets caught up in a international espionage. It will mainly center around Mater and his choices of helping his friend, Lightning McQueen, in the race, or completing the secret spy mission. This is a interesting prospect of a movie.
Madagascar 3

The gang is still trying to get back to New York, but end up in Europe and join a traveling circus to try and reach New York. It is not confirmed that the penguins will be making their debut in the third, although I am hoping with all my might for it. I enjoyed both Madagascar movies, and all in all, the penguins and the lemurs were my favorite. Not much else has been confirmed for this movie.
Brave

Disney Pixar's newest original computer animated film is scheduled for release in 2012. It follows the story of Merida (voiced by Reese Witherspoon) in rugged and mythical Scotland. She is a princess, but with a clash of wills against her mother, she is also a archer. She must follow a quest to save her fathers kingdom, and her mothers life, endangered by a dark and ancient curse. I, for one, am looking forward to this movie.
